8 X 30 Project Day 44- Harry Potter Party

Today was Gracie’s Birthday party. She is turning nine tomorrow! I can’t believe that after birthday season I will have an 11, 9, 7, and 3 year old. I think the 3 year old is the hardest to comprehend; that whole unplanned thing.

This year Gracie, and well all the girls, are very into Harry Potter. So she asked me to throw her a Harry Potter Birthday. I first did the invites, which I posted in a previous blog. But here they are again.  Very fun!

So today I set up the house, mainly the kitchen with decorations. I wanted to keep it very simple this year with the parties, most of you know how I can get very carried away. So I decorated the kitchen with Red and Gold crape paper. Then the kitchen table with a black table cloth, gold and silver stars, chocolate, frogs, snakes, owls, spiders, Jelly Bellys, and red and gold mnms.

For the goodie bags, I was able to do good ones since Gracie keep the invite list low. I did red and gold bags and filled them with star lollipops, Drooling Gum, Pop Rocks, Bubbles, Glow wands and braclets, red and gold beads, and chocolate frogs. I think that was it anyways!!!

Then it was time for cake, or we had doughnuts. I got doughnuts from Frost. As you might remember from last year we did doughnuts for JuJu’s party and they were spectacular! This year…a little disappointed. The kids didn’t eat them and honestly I can’t blame them. They smelled like playdoh. YUCK!

We had a special guest: Beary Potter

I think Gracie had a GREAT time.

WARNING GROSS OUT FACTOR!!!

So Hunter is very into her tonsils now and wanted me to take a pic of them so she could see what they looked like. I don’t think the doctor will have any issue finding them.
